Local Action and Solutions for Strengthening Water Resilience

Local Solutions for Strengthening Water Resilience: Showcasing Locally-Led Action and Building Momentum for Putting Local Solutions on the Global Agenda Local communities are on the frontlines of climate change impacts, but often they do not have a voice in decision-making that affects them.
In this session we will guide the participants through the flow of water, starting from the mountains and finishing our journey in the mangroves by the coast.
Best practices, tools, and local initiatives that strengthen climate action and water resilience will be showcased, followed by a discussion on how they can be upscaled and more systematically incorporated into global and national processes.

Session Co-hosts:
Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA), https://www.alliance4water.org/
Australia Water Partnership, https://waterpartnership.org.au/
Forest-Water Champions,
Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), https://siwi.org/
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) - TBD
